Project PANIO: towards interoperability between orthodontic software
Hello and welcome to the Project PANIO online publication!
The PANIO Project has to do with writing and divulging a standard for electronic orthodontic health records and data. It is divided in two main parts: the first about defining the standard, involves the tight cooperation with domain specialists (i.e. orthodontists). In the second part, we plan to write a first implementation of the standard. Please read more about these parts in the About PANIO section of our website.
This site was developed to centralize and publicize the progress of the project. Here you can find articles, publications, links to other sites and various other material used to make the project move forward.
The project is currently active in Italy and the United States and is sponsored by topsOrtho and heavily relies on the resources of the American Dental Association Standards Committee for Dental Informatis, DICOM.
